The ‘Vancouver Meditation Group’ – under the aegis of the Vancouver Yoga Meditation Society (VYMS) – values your privacy and personal information. We do NOT use cookies and/or any tracking technology on our website.

Data collected by us online, is typically restricted to your name, e-mail address and city of residence – as when you subscribe to our newsletter or communicate with us via our ‘Contact Us’ page.

Should you also choose to make a donation, via our ‘Pay Pal Donate Now’ icon, that information is handled entirely on the secure, https:///www.paypal.com site and is governed by their own Privacy policy.

Your contact information is retained by us, securely on our back-end server, purely as a database listing for reference purposes and as a back-up option for retrieval, in case of any technical glitches with our monthly e-newsletter distribution process; and frequent, Chapel- and Service-related e-mails.

At all times, you may choose to not include the mandatory fields of information in form submissions; but in such instances, understandably, the particular service feature will not be successfully processed.

Geo-Location: Please note – the device you use to access web sites, may collect geo-location information and other usage data. This is not collected or accessed by us. Such collection may nevertheless be restricted by appropriately reviewing/amending the settings on your device.

If at any stage, as part of our monthly/annual pledge drive, a form for submission of voluntary donations is placed on our website, then pertinent details captured therein, will also be retained at our back-end for record purposes. However, as per current practice, ‘Pledge’ forms for our Chapel-related collections are handled from outside the domain of this website.

Data stored at our end is not willingly shared with third parties, except in that as is required within limitation, via the use of a third-party e-mail distribution service and a web hosting service; and amongst one or more of the VYMS Co-Ordinating Committee members, plus the website Administrator.

Users may please note that our third-party service providers, may at times, be based outside of Canada and by using our site, you hereby consent to this fact.
